Date: 21 January 2020 2019 Project Applications For Erasmus+ Learning and Internship Exchange Programme Applications will be accepted from 10.02.2020 to 29.02.2020 for our students who wish to receive education or do a traineeship for the Academic Year 2020-2021 at the agreement universities abroad within the framework of the Erasmus+ Exchange Programme under the project number 2019-1-TR01-KA103-062732. Who can apply? Full-time students who are registered at a higher education institution’s formal higher education programme of any cycle degree programme (Associate/Bachelor, Master and Doctorate). a) Students registered at Bachelor’s/Associate Degree programmes who have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.20 out of 4.00. b) Students registered at Master’s Degree and PhD programmes who have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 out of 4.00. To be eligible for the Student Mobility for Studies, students must have the required workload of ECTS (30 ECTS Credits per Academic Term, 60 ECTS Credits per Academic Year and 20 ECTS for one term in three semester Education). If students benefitted from Erasmus+ and Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) during their current education period, the total duration of higher education mobility programmes must not exceed 12 months. English Preparatory Programmes and Distance Learning students are not eligible to apply. For internship mobility: During application, it is necessary for a student to bring an official acceptance letter. For a diploma programme, a traineeship is not compulsory. However, students must do their traineeship in an institution or organisation whose sectoral activities relevant to their vocational training programme. Students can do their traineeship in business institutions, education centres, research centres, chambers of commerce, trade associations, schools, foundations, non-profit organisations, organisations, organisations providing career guidance, professional counselling and guidance organisations, and higher education institutions. The applications for the Erasmus+ Exchange Programme (Erasmus+ and Erasmus+ Internship that aims the exchange of students between the Higher Education Institutions around Europe) will open on the 10th of February and the deadline is February 29, 2020. Duration of Student Mobility for Studies is 1 academic term or 1 academic year. Duration of Student Mobility for Traineeships is at least 2 months and not more than 12 months. English Proficiency Exam for Exchange Programmes Students who would like to study abroad, need to attend Written English Exam which will be held on the 7th of March (Saturday) 2020 in Ayazağa Campus and Speaking exam, will be held between the dates 09-13 March 2020 on Beylikduzu and Ortaköy Campuses. The classrooms will be announced later. To pass the exam and become eligible for the Student Mobility, Students must receive a minimum score from English exam (verbal and written exam results) corresponding to B2 level according to the CEFR system. Selection Criteria The evaluation criteria and weighted scores to be used in assessing mobility applications are: Criteria Weighted Score Academic achievement level 50% (over a total of 100 points) Language level 50% (over a total of 100 points) Martyr and veteran children +15 points Students for whom there is a court ruling concerning protection, care or housing under the Social Work Act no. 2828 +10 points Students with disabilities. Special Support for Needs for the Erasmus+ Programme Within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme, students can receive an additional grant to actively take part in activities regarding Education. Students who have a physically, mentally or medically special condition, and wish to apply for Erasmus+ Programme are provided support, particularly as additional support, regarding guidance, reception, transportation, pedagogical and technical support. Additional Grant Students who have a physically, mentally or medically special condition can apply for an additional grant besides the monthly grant for Erasmus+ education and traineeship given for special access and transportation needs during the Mobility Programme. To apply for a grant for special need, students must state their possible additional expenses regarding their special needs, and physical, mental, or medical conditions. Students must submit their request including the report for Erasmus+ additional grant for special needs to the Erasmus Office (For instance, if they request an additional grant for special needs because of a disability, they must attach the medical report (issued maximum 3 months before application) which includes the information about the disability and the level of the disability, or ID card for those with disability, and also medical report is required for those with chronic diseases.)
