Department’s Message

Known as the Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases and Surgery in our country, the specialty is called the Oral and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery around the globe. Individuals who have studied this department can perform most dentistry practices either in a hospital environment or a private clinic.

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a department that performs and manages required surgeries and treatments to correct the diseases, infections, injuries, and defects of the hard and soft tissues in the head, neck, face, jaws, facial area, and the mandibular area. These treatments include simple and surgical tooth extraction, impacted teeth removal, dental implant applications, surgeries of mandibular cysts and tumours, and reconstruction of mandibular defects, pre-prosthetic surgeries, surgical treatment of maxillofacial fractures, orthognathic surgeries, treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, and temporomandibular surgeries.

Our Department performs surgeries under local and general anaesthesia, and treats dental diseases of patients with disabilities as well.
