Department’s Message

Endodontics covers root canal treatment aiming to treat inflammation, diseases, and injuries to the dental pulp and the tissues surrounding the teeth.

The outermost layer of the tooth is the enamel followed by the dentin layer, and the innermost soft layer is called the pulp. The pulp hosts the neurovascular bundle which keeps the tooth alive.  In case of infection of this area, the dental nerves should be removed, root canals should be disinfected with disinfectant solutions, and shaped with root canal shaping equipment finally followed by filling with tissue-friendly medical substances.

With correct treatment methods today, 90-95% of root canal treatments are successful. Being canal treatment specialists, endodontists make medical interventions exclusively restricted to root canal treatment and cases related to this treatment. Thanks to technological advancements, much more successful and comfortable root canal treatment for patients can be applied with new equipment and methods.
